ISFAP Bursary Funding

About Ikusasa Student Financial Aid Programme (ISFAP)

To ensure that poor and middle-class South African students have equal opportunities for higher education alongside their wealthier counterparts, ISFAP was born. It is a funding model designed to remain sustainable while helping students achieve their goals and obtain qualifications in Occupations of High Demand (OHDs). Analysis of South Africa’s OHDs has highlighted its need for more accountants, actuaries, engineers, artisans, doctors, and pharmacists.

These professions are essential South Africa’s continued economic growth and the development of an equal society. A collaboration between the South African government and various private sector stakeholders, ISFAP aims to reduce higher learning dropout rates, give graduates better employment opportunities, and to build the country’s skills base.

Applications are now open for those interested in the bursary from the Ikusasa Student Financial Aid Programme, known as ISFAP. They provide bursaries to students who come from poor and missing middle backgrounds.
