Agniveer Salary: Agniveers will be paid a competitive monthly salary, as well as risk and hardship allowances, depending on the service. Agniveers will be paid a one-time ‘Seva Nidhi’ package of Rs 11.71 Lakh upon completion of their four-year engagement period, which will include their contribution plus accrued interest and a matching contribution from the government equal to the accumulated amount of their contribution plus interest, as shown below.

Agniveer Salary for 1st Year
The Agniveer salary package for the candidates selected in the 1st batch of Agniveers in the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and Indian Navy would be Rs. 30000 per month salary package out of which Rs. 9000 will be deducted as Contribution to Agniveer Corpus Fund (Seva Nidhi Package). Soldiers will not be entitled to gratuity.

Agniveer Salary Benefits
- Candidate will be covered under Rs. 48 Lakh non-contributory Life Insurance Cover during service.

Agniveer Seva Nidhi
Following the release after 4 years period from service in the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Air Force, the Seva Nidhi package costs approximately Rs 11.71 lakh, including (Including, interest accumulated on the above amount as per the applicable interest rates would also be paid). Every month 30% of monthly emoluments will be contributed by individuals and an equal amount will be contributed by the Government. Two options to receive the Seva Nidhi package will be provided to each Agniveer, with an aim to provide financial loans for self-employment/entrepreneurship through a bank Guarantee as also to meet immediate/incidental expenses, on exit. Details will be issued separately by the Government of India.
Agniveer Life Insurance Cover
The Agniveer soldiers will get a free insurance cover of Rs 48 lakh for the duration of their service period as per Agneepath Scheme introduced by the government.
Agniveer Death/Disability Compensation
Non-contributory life insurance cover of Rs 48 lakhs with additional Ex. Gratia of Rs. 44 lakh for death attributable to service. The unreserved portion up to 4 years including SevaNidhi Component. The extent of disability or functional incapacity shall be determined in the following manner for the purpose of computing the disability compensation:-
