ABOUT CTET

CTET APPLICATION FEE
Candidates can apply for CTET 2022 by logging in to the official website of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test after the Central Teacher Eligibility Test notification 2022 for the same has been released. A candidate belonging to either the General or OBC category is required to pay Rs. 1000/– (if applying for either Paper I or Paper II) and Rs. 1200/- (if applying for both the papers).
The amount of Rs. 500/- (if applying for either Paper I or Paper II) and Rs. 600/- (if applying for both the papers) for candidates belonging to SC/ST category. The CTET 2022 Application Fee is different as per the category SC ST OBC & Gen. The fee of the CTET Registration form is different for both papers 1&2. It depends on the candidates to select one.

CTET ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- The candidate must go through the CTET 2022 Eligibility Criteria before filling out the CTET Online application form. Here we are sharing the CTET 2022 Eligibility criteria for Primary & Upper Primary level CTET exams.
- To qualify as a first stage teacher, applicants must have at least a 10+2 grade point average of 50%.
To be eligible for appointment as a secondary teacher, candidates must have completed their 10+2 or graduation from a recognized university with at least a 50% overall grade point average.
Note:
- The qualifying marks for candidates from reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/Differently Abled, will be relaxed by up to 5%.
- Provisional admission is granted to applicants who are enrolled in their last year of a bachelor’s degree program in education, a diploma program in elementary education, etc. Their certificate will only be valid if they pass the aforementioned exams before the exam results are announced.
CTET 2022 EXAM PATTERN
In CTET Exam, there will be two papers :
- Paper-I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
- Paper-II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
Note: A person who intends to teach for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both papers (Paper I and Paper II).
Note: Mathematics & Science- 30 MCQs each -60 Marks Or Social Studies/Social Science -60 MCQs -60 Marks (for Social Studies/Social Science teacher). There is no penalty for any wrong answers.

CTET 2022 NOTIFICATION & CERTIFICATE VALIDITY
The validity period of the TET – Teachers Eligibility Test qualifying certificate has been extended from 7 years to life Time with retrospective effect from 2011. There is no restriction on the number of attempts, a person can take for acquiring a CTET Certificate. A person who has qualified CTET Exam may also appear again for improving his/her score. Thus CTET Certificate Validity has been a lifetime. The CTET Certificate validity has been extended for a lifetime.
CTET 2022 NOTIFICATION KEY POINTS
Previously the CTET examinations were conducted offline i.e. in pen and paper mode. However, CTET 2022 will be conducted in the Computer Based format. CTET 2022 CUT-OFF MARKS
A Marks Statement will be provided to the exam candidates. Candidates who receive 60% or more in the general category will receive a score statement and an eligibility certificate. The CBSE releases the CTET Cut off Marks each year. There are two papers in the test. Candidates who want to teach in grades 1 through 5 should take Paper 1, whereas those who want to teach in grades 6 through 8 should take Paper 2. Each paper carries 150 points. Candidates will be deemed qualified if they receive scores of 90 or higher.

CTET 2022 EXAM CENTRE
The CTET 2022 Exam will be conducted in the following CTET 2022 Exam Centres. The candidates are required to choose 4 CTET 2022 Exam Centres at the time of CTET 2022 Registration. The CTET 2022 Exam Centres chosen by the candidates will be given the first preference by the CBSE board.
