We pleased to inform you about XAT Answer Key/ Response Sheet 2023 

XAT answer key 2023 was issued today, January 10, by XLRI Jamshedpur. It was provided in conjunction with the XAT response sheet to allow test takers to compare their answers to official keys and analyze their performance. The XAT response sheet and answer key 2023 have only been supplied to those candidates who will have taken the XAT 2023.

Candidates will be given the chance to raise objections against any XAT answer key/s if they think that it is incorrect. The XAT examination authority will examine the objection and if found valid, will revise the XAT 2023 answer key. The XAT result 2023 will be prepared after all the objections have been examined and the preliminary XAT answer key has been revised.

XAT 2023 schedule of answer key has been announced by XLRI in the form of a response sheet. Check the table below for the tentative schedule of the answer key release:

How to Download XAT Answer Key and Response Sheet 2023

XLRI, Jamshedpur will upload the XAT answer key 2023 and question paper on the XAT website. Candidates can access their respective XAT response sheet along with the question paper and official answer key. Here’s the process to download the XAT answer key:

• Open XAT 2023 website in a new window or copy this link: https://xatonline.in/
• Click on ‘candidate response’
• Log in with your user ID and password
• Click on the candidate response to generate the answer key and question paper
• XAT answer key will be displayed
• Check the correct options marked in green and your response mentioned after question ID

Information Mentioned on XAT Response Sheet and Answer Key

XAT 2023 answer key cum response sheet will contain the following information:

• Candidate’s exam details like name and ID
• Section-wise questions and their answer
• Candidate’s response to each question
• Questions not attempted

How to Challenge XAT Answer Key 2023

To send objections against the XAT answer keys, send an email to: [email protected] with the subject line Objection

In the email, the following information is to be mentioned:

• XAT ID
• Name
• Question ID
• Your objection to a particular question and its answer
• Evidence in support of your objection

XAT Marking Scheme

The total mark of XAT exam is 100. Check the below table to understand XAT marking scheme:

XAT question paper is of 100 marks and candidates will be marked per correct attempt. Let’s take a look at the XAT marking scheme to understand this:

• The total number of questions is 100
• The total marks for XAT exam are 100
• For every correct attempt, one mark is awarded
• For every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks are deducted
• After eight consecutive unattempted questions, 0.10 marks are deducted for every unattempted question
• There is no negative marking in the General Knowledge section
• The general Knowledge section is not taken into consideration for percentile calculation
• The Essay Writing question will also not be evaluated for calculation of raw score and percentile (XAT score)

Based on the above marking scheme, if a candidate attempts about 85 questions out of 100, out of which he solves 75 questions correctly and 10 questions incorrectly, then his overall XAT score will be 75 – (1-0.25×10) = 82.5.

How to Calculate XAT Percentile

The formula to calculate XAT percentile is:

A number of candidates-Rank of a candidate/Number of candidates x100. Check the example below: Suppose, 100,000 people appeared for XAT exam and A got the highest raw score. It means 99,999 candidates have scored less than A. Then XAT percentile of candidate A will be 99,999/100,000×100= 99.9.

Final XAT Answer Key 2023

Once all the objections have been received by the exam authority, it will evaluate each one of them. If any of the objection raised by the candidates is found to be valid, the XAT 2023 answer key will be revised and published again as the final answer key. Exam results will be prepared on the basis of the XAT 2023 final answer key and no objection will be accepted against it. Candidates will be able to download the final XAT answer key 2023 from the exam website.

In case, no objection is found to be valid, the XAT 2023 final answer key will not be released and the result will be prepared on the earlier released answer key.

XAT 2023 Result 

Following the process of raising objections and review, XAT result of each candidate will be prepared. The result will be released in the form of a scorecard. It will be available for download on XAT and XLRI websites. Candidates can download their XAT scorecards using their login credentials. The XAT scorecard will contain each candidate, name, category, gender, photo, sectional percentile, and overall percentile.

XAT Cut-Off for XLRI Admission
