Programme Overview
The Coega Internship Programme Intake 2026 targets unemployed South African graduates. It lasts 24 months and takes place in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape. Participants get structured training, mentorship, and coaching to build practical skills and industry knowledge.
Applications close on 25 May 2026. The program started accepting applications on 12 May 2026. It focuses on giving young people exposure to professional settings.
Available Internship Opportunities
Two main internships are open for 2026.
CDC Board, Internal and Forensic Audit Internship
This role is based in Gqeberha. You need at least a National Diploma in Internal Audit. Interns will learn about audits in a development corporation setting.
ICT, Research and Strategy Internship
Also in Gqeberha, this internship requires a National Diploma in Information Technology or Software Development. It involves work in tech, research, and planning tasks.
Qualification and Minimum Requirements
To qualify, hold a Diploma at NQF Level 6, a Degree at NQF Level 7, or an Honours Degree at NQF Level 8. Applicants should be under 35 years old, energetic, and show a strong work ethic. No prior work experience in your field is needed.
