About Santam Bursary Scheme

In an effort to create a conduit for critical and future-fit skills in the financial services sector with a focus on the Short Term Insurance Industry, Santam Limited, South Africa’s largest general insurer, established the Santam Bursary Scheme as part of its Skills Development Academy.

The Santam Bursary Scheme intends to produce a steady stream of skilled, capable, and high caliber graduate learners with core technical skills, behavioral and leadership competencies.

This in return makes bursary opportunities available to young talented individuals studying in areas such as actuarial science, agriculture, underwriting, hydraulics, and insurance assessment.

The initiative was established to ensure Santam builds a talent stream and South Africa has the required skills to grow our economy.
