CSIR INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME 2022/2023
Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) invites applications from suitably qualified and unemployed graduates.
The purpose of these internships is to provide graduates with an opportunity to gain practical work experience through the research and the development of competitive technologies and innovative products under the guidance of researchers and engineers within cross-functional teams. These opportunities are based in Johannesburg.
The following Internship Opportunities are open for applications:
Communications Intern
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in:
- Journalism,
- Marketing,
- Public Relations,
- Communication
- or media
Geoscience Intern
- An Honours degree in BSc Geology/Geophysics (Hons);
- Mineral Resource Management qualification will be an advantage;
ICT Intern
- A BSC degree in Computer Science
Mining Engineering Intern
- A Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mining
Social Science for Mining Intern
- An Honours degree in Social or Health sciences;
Skills and Competencies:
- Self-motivated and a team player;
- Analytical, numerical, methodical, innovative, and results-driven;
- Willingness to learn and work under pressure;
- Pro-active and focused;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Good attention to detail;
- Ability to prioritize and have a good sense of urgency and accuracy;
- Must have clear/no criminal record;
