About the Role
As a Customer Service Representative, you will:
Answer incoming calls in a professional and timely manner.
Assist job seekers, clients, and agents with questions, policy details, and service requests.
Build lasting relationships by delivering excellent customer support.
Handle billing, payments, and a variety of insurance service processes.
This position supports remote work in the following states: NY, PA, NJ, MA, AL, FL, TX, OH, MN, IN, GA, AZ, and NC.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Resolve customer inquiries by phone, perform research, and start service processes as needed.
Process billing requests, including account changes, payment updates, refunds, premium histories, policy quotes, and conservation efforts.
Manage manual premium payments and process checking or savings account payments by phone.
Support loan-by-phone requests.
Handle website inquiries received via Corporate Communications.
Complete insurance verifications and policy summaries.
Follow up with customers to collect missing information or payments to update policies.
Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and transactions.
Qualifications & Skills Needed
Experience:
Minimum 3 years in customer service.
1 year of accounting experience preferred.
Experience in the insurance or call center industry is a plus.
Spanish fluency is an advantage.
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Ability to manage and prioritize a heavy workload.
Flexibility to work occasional overtime when needed.
Education:
Associate’s degree in Business or related field required.
Compensation & Benefits
💵 Pay Range: $18.57 – $20.07 hourly
The starting rate is based on location, education, experience, and skills. The final level for this role will depend on your qualifications.
