About The Territory Air Defence Forces Recruitment
The Territorial Air Defence Force abbreviated as DAT is an armed service/branch of the Algerian People’s National Army, the armed forces of Algeria. It is one of the four service branches of the Algerian Armed Forces, along with the army, navy, and air force. It is tasked with the Algerian airspace protection mission.

1- Recruitment of bachelor candidates who cannot access to the training of the trainee officer of career:
– Conditions of admission:
The recruitment as a trainee NCO is opened on a competition to the candidates fulfilling the following conditions:
- To have the baccalaureate diploma in Science and technical specialties, and a non-interrupted studies justification for the titular candidates of the baccalaureate (the priority is given to the candidates having a higher level) ;
- To be between the ages of 18 and 21 on December 31thof the considered year;

Conditions Of Admission
Direct recruitment, as a Career Officer Student, is open by Contest to candidates who meet the following conditions:
- Bachelor’s degree obtained the same year of an average greater than or equal to (12/20), in Experimental Sciences, Mathematics, and Mathematical Techniques, option “Electrical Engineering”;
- To be between the ages of 18 and 21 on December 31th, of the considered year;
- To be of Algerian nationality;
- Do not have a criminal record;
- To be unmarried;
- To be in good physical condition;
- Succeed in the entrance examination.
Candidates for recruitment who have not reached the minimum required age may be held on a derogation subject by paternal authorization or legal guardian. In this case, the engagement contract will only become final once the age of eighteen (18) years has passed.

Training Duration
– Engineer Training:
- One (01) year of basic common military training at the Military Academy of Cherchell “the deceased president Houari Boumediene”;
- Five years of training (05) of specialization culminating in an engineering degree in Air Defense at the Territory Air Defense Higher School “Chahid Ali CHABATI”.
Territory Air Defence Forces Commissioned Officer’S License Training
License Training
- One (01) year of basic common military training at the Military Academy of Cherchell, “the deceased president Houari Boumediene”;
- Three (03) years of university training culminating in a License degree, followed by one (01) year of specialization:
- At the Territory Air Defense Higher School “Chahid Ali CHABATI” in the field of air traffic control and radio technology (option: Missiles and Detection);
- At the training establishments relevant to other commands and central directorates of the National Defense Ministry in different fields: Equipment, Administration, Transport and Traffic, Anti-Air Artillery, Engineering Fight, Transmission, and Electronic Warfare.
