How To Apply For Wits University Post Graduate 2026
Wits University admission form 2026 is open to all school leavers, Non-school leavers, and special cases qualified applicants irrespective of color, race, ethnic identity, religion, gender, or Region.

Step 1

Research and PhD applicants, please note thatĀ before applyingĀ you will need to approach the relevant school or department to discuss your choice of a research topic and the availability of a supervisor.

Wits University Application Fee
Pay the application fee of R200. Current Wits students who apply online do not need to pay this fee.

Step 4
Certain programmes requireĀ additional departmental formsĀ in addition to completing the online application.Ā These will be available on the course finder entry or from the relevant school or department. Please complete and return these forms within the timeframe for submission. Incomplete applications are not considered.
Step 5
Documents certified within the last 3 months must be uploadedĀ before submissionĀ of the online application. Refer to theĀ PG Supporting Documents GuideĀ to ensure that you submit the correct documents. This is a generic list. The documents specific to your application choice/s will reflect on validation of the online application, as well as in your acknowledgement letter, and on your self-service portal.
TheĀ application fee and the SAQA certificate of evaluationĀ may be uploaded after submissionĀ via theĀ self-service portal. Click the Documents and Communications tile, and then the top right green Manage Documents button.
Successful applicants will be able to accept an offer without submitting certified hard (physical) copies of academic qualifications. However, the University will verify any information/documents submitted and immediately cancel your registration, record such against your record, and take necessary legal action in the event that any fraudulent document/s and/or other misrepresentation had been provided.

Once your application is complete, it is referred to the relevant school for assessment.
Each application is considered individually. There is no set time frame for decision-making. Most schools make a final decision at the end of the academic year or at the beginning of the new academic year.
