About the York Timbers Internship Programme
York Timbers runs the Internship Experience Programme as part of the FP&M SETA Future Perfect Skills Development initiative. The goal is to boost employability in forestry, safety, and production. It lasts 12 months and pays a stipend of R3,000 per month. All positions are based in Mpumalanga, South Africa. Applications close on 17 April 2026.
Available Positions
York Timbers has four internship spots open for 2026. There is one Production Foreman role and three Safety Officer roles.
Production Foreman Internship
In this role, you will help with production planning and workflow. You will support timber harvesting and processing tasks. You will also learn about logistics and operational management in a busy forestry setting.
Safety Officer Internship
Here, you will assist with safety inspections at work sites. You will help ensure compliance with health and safety rules. You will take part in spotting hazards and reporting them to prevent accidents.
Minimum Requirements
