Jason Rohde is going back to courtroom

A case of a man who murdered his spouse is going to continue on Monday.
The murder was allegedly committed by Jason Rohde at the Spier Wine Estate in July 2016.
The trial had been postponed after the killer’s daughter decided to testify and request for a reduced sentence for her father.
Earlier the suspect claimed that his wife committed suicide because of his extra-marital affair with a colleague. However, the Western Cape High Court found that he staged a scene to make it look as if she hanged herself.
Rohde’s defense team tried to get him out of jail until sentencing proceedings resume, but the Judge Gayaat Salie-Hlophe rejected the request during the last court session in November 2018.
