NDA Application
NDA Application Form 2023: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has extended NDA 1 2023 application form filling process by two days. The NDA application fee is INR 100 for General/OBC candidates, whereas, SC/ST/Sons of JCOs, Women/NCOs, and ORs are exempted from fee payment.
NDA 2023/2024 Application Form

NDA 1 Apply Online Link
NDA 1 apply online link was activated on December 21. The direct link to fill NDA 1 application form 2023 is provided on this page. Candidates should ascertain their eligibility before filling out the application form. The apply online link will remain active till January 12, 2023.
NDA 2 Application Form | Date
NDA 2 application form 2023 will be released on May 17, 2023. The last date to apply for the exam is June 6, 2023. The application fees can be paid online and offline. The application fee is INR 100 for General/OBC whereas SC/ST/Sons of JCOs, Women/NCOs, and ORs are not required to pay any fees.
NDA Application Form One-Time Registration
Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory to fill NDA application form 2023. Candidates need to register only once in a lifetime and with the login ID and password they can apply for all UPSC exams. The portal is open all throughout the year. If candidates have already registered, they can proceed to fill out the application form directly. In the OTR, candidates need to enter their name, gender, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, minority status, valid mobile number, board examination roll number, and security questions. Candidates are also directed to verify the details of OTR. After OTR, candidates can vide their dashboard where they can check their personal details, apply for active notification, and check application submission status.
Steps to Apply for OTR
- Visit the official website of UPSC
- Register through OTR portal by clicking the ‘New Registration’ button
- After registration, candidates have to log in with the email ID/mobile number/OTR ID) to verify the already registered OTR application
- Go to the ‘Latest Notification’ tab in the OTR application
- Apply for the desired exam

NDA Online Form 2023
NDA application form comprises two parts: Part I and II. The step-by-step guide for filling both parts of the NDA application form is explained below:
NDA Form: Part 1
NDA application online part I registration is divided into four pages: candidate’s registration, choosing the preferred branch, verifying details, and generation of registration ID. Check below the steps to fill out Part I of the NDA application form:
Page 1: Candidate’s Registration
Candidates are required to enter their personal details, address, and educational qualifications. In the personal details part, candidates had to fill up their name, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, Aadhaar number, nationality, fee remission allowed, community, marital status, etc. There will be four options indicated by the drop-down menu to select education qualification. Candidates need to enter their complete address, email ID, and contact number.
- Applicants are to choose their branches: Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy
- Mark your preference in the order of one to four
- Candidates are also required to enter whether they are students of sanik/military school or sons of JCO/NCO/another rank officer?
- Click ‘Continue’ to move to the next page
Page 3: Verify the details
Candidates are required to verify the details entered by them in the application form. No correction is allowed after the submission of the NDA form. After verifying the details, candidates are required to agree to the terms and conditions by clicking the required checkbox.
Page 4: Generation of registration ID
The system displays the registration ID. The page also shows other details such as name, father’s name, DOB, email id, etc. With this, the Part I registration is completed. The registration ID is also sent to the candidate’s registered email ID.
NDA Application Form 2023 Part II
In part II, candidates need to pay the application fees, select the exam center, and upload scanned images of photographs and signatures. The steps to fill the Part II of the NDA application form are given below:
NDA Online Form Fee
- Applicants can pay their fees through cash/credit card/debit card or net banking
- Those who opt for the ‘Pay by Cash’ mode are required to take the printout of the system-generated Pay-in-slip during the Part-II registration. They are required to deposit the fee at the counter of SBI on the next working day
- Candidates should note that the fees once paid are not refunded

Selection of exam center
- Candidates are required to choose the NDA exam center as per their suitability
- They can choose only three exam centers
- Allotment of the center will be on the first-apply-first-allot basis
Uploading of photograph, signature & photo identity proof
- Candidates are required to upload the scanned images of their photograph, signature, and photo identity card
- The file should not exceed 300 kb and must be less than 20 kb
NDA Application Form 2023 Details and Documents Required
Applicants are required to fill in the details in the NDA application form 2023. They need to fill in details such as name, educational qualification, communication address, NDA age limit, etc. Candidates need to enter the details carefully or else their application forms will be rejected. The documents that candidates need to upload are given below:
- Scanned images of photograph and signature
- Photo-identity card in PDF format (Aadhar Card / Voter Card/PAN Card/ Passport/ Driving License/ School Photo ID/Any other photo ID Card issued by the State / Central Government)
- Marksheet and admit card of Class 10 and 12
NDA Application Form Correction Window
Candidates can make corrections in the NDA application form 2023 except for the choice of center. The window to make corrections in the application form is made available seven days after the application process is closed. In case a candidate wants to carry out any change in their OTR profile during this period, they should log into the OTR platform and do the needful changes. In other words, no change in the OTR profile can be made by visiting the window for modification in the application form.
NDA Apply Online Application Withdrawal
Candidates who do not wish to appear for the exam can withdraw NDA application form. To withdraw the application form, candidates need to log in with the required credentials. The withdrawal link is activated a few days after the application window is closed. The process to withdraw the application form is given below:
- Click the ‘Apply Online link on the home page
- Candidates are redirected to the page that contains the application withdrawal link
- Enter registration ID
- Enter name, gender, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, mobile number, email ID
- Select either ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ from the dropdown
- Agree to the terms and conditions
- The withdrawal facility is available for those candidates who do not want to appear in the exam
- Candidates are advised to provide the details of their registered application as well as their registration ID
- There is no facility to withdraw the application form with incomplete details
- Separate OTPs will be sent to candidates’ registered mobile numbers and email ID
- Request for withdrawal will only be processed only after validating the OTP
- After the request is accepted for online withdrawal of the application, candidates must print the receipt
- Once the application has been withdrawn it cannot be revived
- On successful completion of the withdrawal of the application, an auto-generated email and SMS will be sent to the candidate’s registered email id and mobile
NDA Eligibility 2023
NDA 1 age limit for both and female candidates is that candidates must have been born not earlier than July 2, 2004, and not later than July 1, 2007. For admission to the Army Wing of the National Defence Academy, candidates must have passed Class 12/HSC or equivalent from a recognized board or university.
For the Air Force, Navy, and Naval Academy of National Defence Academy, candidates must have passed Class 12/HSC with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
